Cameron's Picks for Spring 2018 Songs!

So far 2018 has seen a lot of new country, and I gotta say, I'm really diggin' a LOT of it. Here's my picks for the top songs so far this year!

Coming Home - Keith Urban: This song is off his latest album, Graffiti U and features pop artist Julia Michaels. Being from Kentucky and having moved away from my hometown, this song strikes very heavy with me. It perfectly describes what its like to come home.

Rich - Maren Morris: Off her debut album HERO, this song is perfect for when you're just fed-up with something. Ever thought "if I'd had a dollar for...?" That's this song. Plus, its really catchy.... La-a-a-a-a-di-da! Even though the album came out in 2016, Rich was released as a single this year, and it's FINALLY getting the attention it deserves, spending 5 weeks on the Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart; and is currently at 32 on the chart.

Shoot Me Straight - Brothers Osbourne: From their new album, Port Saint Joe, this song is all about honesty and biting the bullet; ripping off the band-aid. This song just reminds me of a jam session I'd have had with friends back in the day.

Most People Are Good - Luke Bryan: From his What Makes You Country album, this song was released in 2017, but is really getting traction now. The first time I heard this song, I remember thinking "Wow, this is the song we really need today." With all the hate and social unrest these days, we need a song to remind us that deep down, we are good.

One Number Away - Luke Combs: Though the album This One’s For You was released in 2017, this song was released as a single earlier this year and just like everything else of his, it's taking off like wildfire! This song has so many messages, I can't even list them all. Don't use your phone and drive... Don't wait to tell people you love them... Life's too short...  Such a great song.

I Lived It - Blake Shelton: From his latest album Texoma Shore, this is yet another song that takes me right back to my childhood. Listening to this song, I can't help but think about stripping tobacco with my grandparents, or riding four-wheelers with my cousins. If you Lived It, you know.

Everything's Gonna Be Alright - David Lee Murphy & Kenny Chesney: With my childhood planted firmly in the early 90s, both of these guys were a big part of my introduction to country music as a kid. I'm so glad to see something from David Lee Murphy going big again. Dust On The Bottle was my jam. As for this song, yet another song we need in today's times. Everybody chill out, it's gonna be alright.
